NACI Endorse CIBSE Message To Government

NACI has joined leading industry bodies such as the UK Green Building Council, BRE Global, the Heating and Ventilating Contractors’ Association and the British Institute of Facilities Management by signing up to support CIBSE’s Non-compliance costs campaign.

The campaign warns that non-compliance with the Energy Performance in Buildings and F-Gas Regulations is costing both business and the environment.

With rates of compliance of Air Conditioning Inspections at less than 5%, the campaign calls for participants to sign up and support the ‘Compliance Charter’ which sets out 3 steps that the government must take to tackle the issue of non compliance.

“We are delighted that the non compliance costs message is spreading and we welcome the support of these partner organisations. With a new government in office, it is more important than ever for them to acknowledge that air conditioning inspection compliance is not working and to take steps to remedy this situation,” said CIBSE President Rob Manning.

Over 300 people have already signed up to pledge their support for the campaign – helping to promote the key messages and strengthen the call to government.
